Danny smiled weakly to Lindsay for a moment, keeping her held close to him. Something in his mind wasn't letting him let her go, instead just keeping her as close to him as possible. "I made a stupid mistake when we came here.. I'm sorry," he appologized. "I actually wanted this to work, but I was being blindsighted for a while.."
"You wanted what to work?" she asked. "Us?" she wasn't sure if he was actually intending to ask her out or anything, but right now, she was very confused. She had gotten mixed signs from him for the longest time, and now she was sort of still getting them, all though they were a whole lot clearer. When Danny answered her question, she would know for sure.
Danny paused for a moment, looking at her for a very long time. "Yes.. I wanted us to work," he admitted quietly.
Lindsay looked up at him and smiled. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting for you to say that." she told him as she cupped a hand to his cheek. "You really mean it?" she asked.
Danny nodded slowly. "I do mean it," he replied with a soft smile. "Honestly, I do." Something in the back of Danny's mind told him not to say things like that, but he didn't care anymore, all he cared about was taking care of Lindsay.
Lindsay smiled up at him. "So you really wanted a relationship between us? How long?" she asked him as she nuzzled her head underneath his chin. Danny smiled a bit. "For I while, I guess," he replied.

"I said don't go" Grissom repeated, looking at her, the anger quickly turning to sadness. His eyes widened when he saw the look on her face. Was she scared of him? Letting go of her arm he stepped back away from her. "I'm sorry" He whispered, looking down at the floor. "I didn't mean to scare you and it's not you I'm mad at. I'm mad at myself"
Sara almost broke down. Moving forward to him, she buried her head in his chest, the feel of his arms around her soothing her a little, making her forget that harsh world they were in. "This shouldn't be so hard..." She mumbled into his chest. Pulling back, she looked up at him. "Do we have to face the others yet?" She asked softly, a little bit of fear in her voice. She couldn't deal with people right now. She couldn't put on a brave face any longer when everything had caught up with her.
Grissom shook his head. "Not if you don't want to. I left Nicky in charge and he's more than capable of handling everything" He looked down at her, so weak and vunerable in his arms. He tilted her chin up and placed a kiss on her lips. "Why don't we get inside?" He asked softly.
---------------------------
"Uh...you want..." Mac was a little nervous. "You wanna room with me?" he asked, hoping she wouldn't get angry. "Or you can get your own, I just thought I'd offer."
Lindsay was glad that he wanted them to work. She wished that she hadn't found out in such a hard way, but at least it was something. She was glad that she was with him now. She wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her. She wondered how deep his feelings were for her. She knew that she loved him, but she wasn't about to tell him that just yet. She wasn't even aware that she loved him until she saw him flirting with Sara. The pain that she had felt just then was unbearable, but now it was gone, and she was glad that he was there for her. --------- Stella turned and smiled. "That's a generous offer Mac, I'll take it." she said with a smile as she walked back up to him. "Are you sure?" she asked. --------- Danny was happy and relieved that Lindsay was giving him a second chance, because if she forced him out, he'd probably then be begging on his knees. Danny gently ran a hand through Lindsay's hair, kissing her cheek once. "I'm sorry..." he appologized again, feeling like what he was saying and doing right now, wasn't enough. He'd hurt her, and that was an incredibly stupid thing to do.
"It's okay Danny." Linds said softly as she felt his hand go through her hair. It felt good. She just wanted to out and say it 'Danny I love you', but she didn't want to yet. She wanted to know at least where they stood before she even thought about that.
Linds snuggled into him, letting her head rest close to his heart. He smelled so good. She wonered if it was too good to be true. She hoped it wasn't.
Danny, by now, had figured that Lindsay hadn't forgived him fully, so he was going to try and make up for everything. He held her close to him, curling almost protectively around her, his cheek resting against the top of her head.
I love you Danny, I love you Danny, I love you Danny... It kept repeating in her mind, but she wouldn't let it come out of her mouth. She sighed contently when she felt his cheek against her head. She nuzzled up against him, feeling totally safe and happy in his arms. I love you Danny.
----------------------------------------
Sara nodded weakly and followed him back to the house, her hand safe in his. When they got inside, she realized exactly how weary she felt, like the only thing that had kept her eyes open and her brain functioning was waiting to hear what he would say to her confession of love. "Can we go to bed?" She asked tiredly, wanting just to curl up in his arms and fall fast asleep. Then she realized what her question had sounded like and her eyes widened a little. "I mean...oh, you know what I mean." She said, too weary to explain herself. She knew he understood.
Grissom nodded and lead her to the bedroom. Good the ways he'd imagined doing that and this wasn't top of his list! He slipped her jacket off her shoulders and sat her down the edge of the bed. He saw the tiredness in her eyes. He slipped off her shoes then unbuttoned her trousers and removed them too. He folded everything and put it on the chair in the corner off the room. He then removed his own trousers and walked back over too her. Man she looked hot in just her shirt and underwear but there'd be plenty of time for that in the future. He pulled the sheets over and lifted her onto the bed before slding in next to her. He pulled the sheets back over them and wrapped her up in his arms. Suddenly he felt sleep overcome him too. He yawned and muttered "I love you" before slipping off to sleep.
Sara, despite the fact that she was exhausted - physically and emotionally - stayed awake for about a half hour after Grissom fell into a lull of sleep. She turned her head and just watched him, a small, contented smile on her lips. "I love you too." She whispered, although he was already asleep. She rested her head against his chest and wrapped her arms around his waist, snuggling into his warmth as she recollected how many times she'd dreamed about this. Of course, her first time in his bed was much different in her dreams, but this was perfect for where they were at in their relationship right now. She'd always imagined him as being equally giving and conscientious as a lover as he was as a scientist. She leaned over and placed a gentle, feather-light kiss on his lips before returning to her position of being snuggled into him. And before she knew it she was drifting into a peaceful sleep.
For the first time in years Grissom slept well, really well. All thoughts slowed, he didn't wake up suddenly remembering something or toss and turn all night. The feeling of her in his arms made him calm, peaceful. She fitted so perfectly in his arms it was unreal. His head finally shut up to a whisper, letting his heart take over for once.
Sara dreamed of him that night. She dreamed of them together, living in a little house in Summerlin with white picket fences, 2.5 kids and a little dog running around as they sat in the lawn chair enjoying the sun. It was the perfect dream. And she never wanted to wake from it. When she finally awoke the next morning, she was a little scared to open her eyes in case he wasn't there and she found herself in her own bed, realizing it really was just a dream that they were together. Even feeling his arms still around her only served to reassure her a little bit. Eventually, she craxked one eye slightly open, a smile dancing onto her lips and her eyes sparkling as she saw him still asleep, his features softened as slumber resided over him.
Grissom fidgeted in his sleep, waking slightly. "Stop watching me sleep" He yawned, without opening his eyes. He could sense her eyes on him, could feel her in his arms and it brought a smile to his face. He opened his eyes slowly and smiled. Yes she was still there and damn did she look beautiful.
----------------------------------
Danny's mind was also repeating the same words Lindsay's was. He wanted to say it, but he shouldn't risk it. Danny was almost certain he was still treading on eggshells. The young man moved the covers over them, wrapping Lindsay close and tight in them as he did so. "Sleep..." he said softly. "Okay." Lindsay said as she lightly closed her eyes. "Danny?" she asked, pausing for a second. "Do you love me?" she asked him, she couldn't sleep if she didn't know. She would be awake all night wondering. "You won't hate me if I tell you my answer, will you?" Danny asked, looking to her. "Yes.. I do love you, Lindsay." Lindsay opened her eyes and smiled at him. She cupped a hand to his cheek and then gazed up at him. "Good, 'cuz I love you too." she told him softly. Danny smiled as well, leaning down to kiss her softly before taking her hand in his. "Sleep, Lindsay.. we have a night shift to take care of later.." Lindsay smiled and kissed him back. She nodded and then closed her eyes again. She squeazed his hand before slowly drifting to sleep. Danny smiled a bit, soon closing his eyes as well and dozing off.
Lindsay woke up at around 4. It was three hours before they had to go in. She turned her head and found that Danny was next to her. At first, she thought it was just a dream, but then, after remembering that morning, she couldn't help but smile. Danny was a big part of her life now, and he looked so peaceful while he slept. Danny had fallen asleep about a half hour after Lindsay had, but he hadn't slept much before so he was dead tired and exhausted. When she woke up, he was still limp and breathing heavily in his sleep. Danny's headache long gone. Lindsay quietly slipped out of bed. She went downstairs and grabbed the both some breakfast for when he woke up. She sat on her side of the bed, putting their food on a side table, and taking a sip of her coffee. She had her cup in one hand, and her other hand was softly running through Danny's hair. Danny was slowly getting roused from his sleep, feeling her fingers going through his slightly long-ish hair. His unfocused eyes opened halfway, looking up to her with a sleepy smile on his lips. "Mmh.. How long did I sleep for?" he asked drowsily, still ready to go back to sleep. By his biological clock, it was still 1pm in the afternoon for him so it felt like he slept in. "A while Danny, It's around 4. Here, I got us some "breakfast". It's not exactly breakfast, but it's food." she said, pointing over to a hoagie that was split in two. She leant down a bit and kissed him on the lips. "Good morning sweetheart." she told him. "Good morning.." Danny gently kissed her back, smiling. "I could wake up like this for the rest of my life.. Next to you, that is.." he said quietly before he slowly rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up into a sitting position, stretching and yawning. "We did sleep for a while.." Linds nodded. "Yeah, I could wake up like that for the rest of my life too." she said with a smile. She then nodded at his next comment. "I think thats the most sleep I've had since I moved to New York." Danny laughed a bit. "Well, think of it this way.. At least we arn't workaholics like Mac, hn?" Danny said before reaching over and grabbing the place the sandwich was on and offered her a half. Lindsay took her half of the half he offered her. Lindsay may have eaten some weird things, but never ate a whole lot. She got closer to him, feeling his warmth as she ate her "breakfast" Danny also took his half, leaning against the headboard and soon feeling her close to him. He smiled a bit, gently wrapping an arm around her as he ate. Linds smiled and rested her head on his arm. She finished up her half and then wrapped her arm around him as he ate. Danny finished soon after her, licking the crumbs that were on his fingers. He smiled contentedly, looking over to her. Lindsay watched him with a hint of disgust as he licked his fingers. "Was that good?" she asked him as she handed him a napkin and then smiled. Danny's brow rose. He might not have his glasses on, but he could still see that look. "Excuse my manners.." he said before taking the napkin from her. "Yes it was, thank you," he then said with a smile to her. Lindsay laughed a little. "Thats good. I would hate to hear that it wasn't 'finger lickin' good'" she said with a giggle. Danny laughed a bit. "It's a habit I have every once in a while," he replied with a grin. Lindsay smiled and snuggled close to him again. "Well, I can deal with that." she said as she draped her arm over him again. The young man ended up grinning like an idiot. He was so happy she was here with him. His arm snaked around her again as they sat there.

Sara smiled when she heard his sleepy words but she didn't quit watching him. She reached over and ran a hand through his sleep-tangled hair before chastely pressing a gentle kiss on his lips. She loved that she was able to do this now. It felt like she was living a dream, and she never wanted to wake up from it. The way he was looing at her made her heart melt. Nobody had ever looked at her like that before. "Mmmm, and why exactly should I stop watching you? I'm making up for lost time here mister." She said playfully, tracing his lips with her finger and following it with her eyes.
"Because you'll make me blush Ms Sidle" Grissom smiled, laughing slightly at the level of formality they seemed to be speaking in. But it wasn't formal as it used to be, now it was different, they were different. "Did you sleep well?" He asked, rubbing her shoulder gently with his hand.
"All the better knowing you were here with me." She smiled, wondering if that was slightly too cheesy. Ah well, as far as she was concerned, it was true so what the heck. "You do realize that I'm never gonna be able to sleep alone again now." She smiled as tingles swept through he from his touch.
Grissom smiled and leant forward, capturing her lips in a slow soft kiss. Leaning back he looked at her for a few seconds before speaking. "Well you do realise that I'm never going to let you sleep alone again now" He smiled, lifting his free hand to her cheek.
Sara smiled into his kiss, thinking of how long she'd ached to do that. "Mmm, well, I guess that's set then." She said softly, a smile in her eyes as well as on her lips. There was a smile in her heart too, for the first time in her life. Snuggling close to him she let out a soft sigh of happiness, completely content in the moment and, just for a fraction in time, she forgot about everything she had to face with her mother turning up. At least Grissom would be there for her through it. She wasn't sure if she could cope if he wasn't. She would surely have tipped over the edge by now. "I can't believe we're finally here." She whispered, loving the feel of him so close, his arms making her feel safe.
Grissom smiled, his arm wrapped around her and his fingers tracing small circles on her back. God he'd waited far too loong to do that. He leant down and placed soft kisses up her neck to her lips. "Me neither" He whispered against them. He felt so lucky to even be allowed to hold her, let alone kiss her and call her his own. He finally had thrown all his reason away and realised he'd never felt so happy in his life.
"Are we gonna emerge from the bedroom today?" She laughed after a moment when she pulled away from his kisses. Ever so gently, she rolled over so that she was straddling his hips, looking down at him with a smile on her lips again. She couldn't take the happiness of her face. She'd waited far too long to live this dream and now that she had it in her grasp, she never wanted to let it go. Slowly, she leaned down and kissed his lips again, threading her fingers through his hair the way she'd longed to for years.
Grissom smiled against the kiss and wrapped his arms around her waist. In one quick motion, he flipped her over do that he was above her. "Remember I am your superior Ms Sidle" He smirked, making a joke of the doubt that had been the very reason for them waiting so long. "So I really shouldn't condone you missing work to stay in bed" He leant down and kissed her neck up to her lips. "But as the man who is actually in bed with you Sara, I'm not letting you go anywhere" He mumbeled against her lips.
Sara giggled a little, wondering when she'd turned into a little girl in his arms. "Well I'm not complaining. I think they'll figure it out if we're both late." She grinned playfully, sliding her arms around his neck and drawing him down to her. She loved the feeling of him so close, making her feel so safe as he surrounded her. Normally, she'd prefer to be on top, but she actually enjoyed him taking the lead...for once in his life where matters of the heart were concerned. She loved the way he looked at her so tenderly and with such love yet his eyes were still full of fiery passion she had yearned to see for so long. She couldn't quite believe she was really in bed with the man she'd dreamed about for so many years. It was surreal and she never wanted to move from his arms.
Grissom smirked. "Let them" He whispered, capturing her lips in a slow, passionate kiss. Normally the thought of his team knowing he was late because he had been with a woman, let alone a subordinate, would have sent a flush of embarassment through him but now he didn't care. Now that she was in his arms, kissing his lips he realised he could never let her go. He was quite literally addicted to Sara Sidle.

Now that she was in his arms, kissing his lips he realised he could never let her go. He was quite literally addicted to Sara Sidle.
Sara moaned a little into the kiss, lost in the rapture of being with him. She was taken over by sheer passion and pulled him flush against her. "That doesn't sound like you. What have you done with my Grissom?" She accused, a playful sparkle in her dancing brown eyes as she looked up at him. She'd never had so much happiness in her eyes before, and it was obvious to the world that Sara Sidle was in love. She could just imagine the guys' first words to her when she breezed into work, looking flushed and for once in her life, blissfully happy. She'd probably get alot of comments that ran along the lines of "Oooh, look who got laid" and "Who's the lucky guy?" She was prepared for them even now, and she was actually looking forward to putting a smug smile on her lips and not saying a word. Maybe she could surprise Grissom in his office at the end of the day....alot these things she had dreamed about happening, and she couldn't wait to see if they'd be a reality.
Grissom laughed. "I think it's not so much a question of what i've done to me and more of what you've done to me" He looked down at her, smiling contentedly. He had Sara Sidle, in his bed, underneath him and the only thoughts running through his head was why she had so many clothes on, It had been such a long time since a woman had him acting like a teenage boy. Come to think about it, he probably was a teenage boy.
Sara seemed to read his mind and gently tugged at his shirt, subtlety taking a leave of absence as she looked at him with pleading eyes that no man, especially not a certain Mr. Grissom, could refuse. "Why have you still got so many clothes on?" She questioned innocently, with a seductive glint in her eyes. She didn't want to waste any time they had together, worried that he would suddenly "realize" what they were doing and back off like he usually did. "And I'm pretty sure you like what I'm doing to you." She smirked as she pulled her shirt over her head. She'd once asked Nick if he liked leather or lace and she'd wondered what Grissom's answer to that would be. She could have pretty much guessed that Nick would go for lace, but she had never worked up the courage to "playfully" ask Grissom. She was a lace girl herself, as he could see now.
"Oh really huh?" Grissom asked playfully, running his hands down her sides and letting them settle just at the hem of her panties. "And I think someone planned this little encounter" He said, looking up and down her body. "Lace underwear, very sexy" He whispered, leaning forward to kiss her once more.
Sara's breath hitched in her throat as she watched him look her up and down. She'd never been overly confident with her body so she was naturally wondering what he was thinking, but he made her feel so cherished and sexy that she didn't worry. Instead, she pulled his own shirt over his head and, once it was discarded to the floor somewhere, she ran her hands down his chest and a soft sigh escaped her lips as she let her fingers roam every muscle of his torso. "I didn't plan it - just lucky, I guess." She smiled. "Even if I had planned it, it's turning out better then I ever dreamed-" She cut herself off, realizing she'd given away one of her little secrets. A blush tinted her cheeks as she tore her gaze from his intense hold. Yeah, she'd just admitted she dreamed about him, about them together...mortifying much? Quickly flipping them over so she was on top, she kept her eyes on his chest so he wouldn't see the embarassment in her eyes if he looked into them.
Grissom smiled and tilted her chin up to look at him. "Well I also imagined you'd be a lace kinda girl" He whispered. "But I never thought it would stay on so long once I got you into my bed" He ran his hands back up her sides, up to her shoulders. He could see she'd been embarassed by her little slip up but by admitting his, he hoped she'd feel better. Although he had to admit, he was mighty cute when she blushed.
His touch sent shivers through her and she smiled a little despite herself. "So you've...fantasized about us together too then?" She smiled, leaning down so she could talk close to his ear, knowing this would have an effect on him, and she wasn't wrong. She couldn't hold her smile of satisfaction back when she felt him tense beneath her and she gently gripped his shoulders. "Remind me again why I'm still wearing so many clothes?" She smirked, sitting back up to look straight into his eyes as she answered his second comment.
Grissom smiled and reached up behind her to unhook the piece of lace and let it slip from his finger tips onto the floor. "Because baby, you won't stop talking" He said, smiling a little. "But I know something that will keep you quiet" He whsipered, slipping his hands up to her neck and pulling her down into another kiss.
Sara smiled, closing her eyes and letting the sensations of his touch flood her thoughts as her head tipped back a little from his kiss, cold-bumps running up her spine. She hadn't really expected Grissom to be the kind of lover who used terms of endearment such as "baby" in the bedroom, but man was it hot. "You...are amazing." She whispered hoarsely, the smile still on her lips.
Grissom knew how awkward their situation would be once they got back to work so he made the most of it. Having her in his bed he could say and do anything, everything he wanted to. No holding back. "You are the most...beautiful...sexy...passionate woman I have ever met" He whispered, placing a kiss along her neck after each word.
Sara shivered again and held him as close as she could to him, living her dream. "And you're the most wonderful...caring...enticing man I have ever met." She mumbled against his skin as she slowly traced kisses along his chest before returning to his lips and claiming them in the most searing, passionate kiss she had ever given him. "No more wasting time." She smiled, tracing the line of his jaw with a feather-light touch and looking into his eyes as she tugged at his boxers. They had precisely half an hour before they were officially late for work, but when they didn't turn up a half hour to an hour early like they always did, she knew the others would suspect something. And she didn't care. All she wanted was to lose herself in this man whom she'd dreamed about for so long. To hell with it if they were late. She wanted everything that came with this sleeping-together-deal. The afterglow when they would lie in each others arms beneath sweat-drenched covers and all. That concept seemed heavenly to her.
Grissom pressed another breathless kiss against her lips. God this girl quite literally took his breath away! His hands slid down to meet hers and he helped her slide off their remaining clothing before pulling her against him, loving the feeling of her skin against hers. And finally after all the years of longing they gave into temptation and let their dreams become reality.

And finally after all the years of longing they gave into temptation and let their dreams become reality.
Grissom laughed, smiling down at her tenderly. "Well you're not so bad yourself Ms Sidle" His voice was some what deeper than normal, rasping slightly for air. Holding her in his arms now, her skin against his he wondered what had ever stopped him from letting this happen long before now. He gently brushed a piece of her hair away from her face. "Well we're already late so what do say we take a shower to freshen up?" He asked, a smile once again on his lips. he couldn't remember having smiled so much in such a long time.
"Well, you know what they say - "save water, shower together" and you know I'm all for the environment Griss." She smiled sweetly. Nothing sounded more like heaven right now then sharing a shower with him, a gentle way to ease them back into the world. Slipping out of his bed, she padded toward the bathroom, at ease under his gaze after their intimate morning together. As she reached the bathroom door, she looked seductively over her shoulder at him. "Coming?" She asked innocently, but the look in her eyes spoke volumes.
Grissom laughed lightly and slid out of bed. "Why ofcourse beautiful" He said, catching hold of her waist and pulling her into the bathroom with him. He pulled her into a kiss and reached behind him to switch on the shower. Once the water was warm enough, he slid open the door and stepped in backwards with her, never once breaking the kiss.

Lindsay smiled as she felt his arm encircle her. "Danny.......I love you." she said with a smile as she looked up to him. "It feels good to say that, you know?" Danny grinned to her a bit. "I know.." he said softly. "I love you, Lindsay.. I feel like I just can't say that enough." Lindsay nodded. "I know, right?" her smile then faded. "Do you ever think about the future Danny?" "Yeah, I'm sure" Then he gave a laugh. "Maybe I can be your teddy bear" he said teasingly. He knew he'd like to curl up with her at night if it were possible.
------------------------------------
Stella giggled and nodded. "We'll have to see how cuddly you are first." she said as she set down her bags and pulled out the black dress that he seemed to like before he went to meet Rose. "I'll be right back." she said as she went to the bathroom to get changed, only to come out a few seconds later with her hair up.
"Quite cuddly, I hope" he laughed. "Okay" he said. "I won't take long getting ready." he added. Men could usually get ready quicker than women, he mused...probably because they didn't mess with their hair much or wear makeup.
-----------------------------
Danny thought about Lindsay's question for a bit before he shrugged. "I don't.. Tend to think too much about the future or the past, really. I live for today, just trying to make it through to the next in one piece," he replied in a quiet tone.
Lindsay looked up at him and nodded. "Well, I do." she said as she hugged him tighter. "I think about where I'm going to be in ten years. I told myself I was going to be married, living on a farm somewhere in the country, where I feel at home. I want to have two horses, one named Adele, and one named Alexa." she said as she nuzzled into the crook of his neck. --------- Stella watched as Mac got ready. She slipped on a pair of heels and was ready to go. She looked just as good as a few years ago, when she was standing in Mac's office, ready to go on a date. "So, where are you taking me?" she asked with a smile.
"Oh yeah? Where about's in the country? Back in Montana?" Danny asked, smiling a bit. He liked listening to what she had thought about before. It was a moment later when he hugged her tightly to him, kissing her cheek lightly.
Lindsay shrugged. Maybe, but I know where ever I end up living, I want to be with you." she told him. "I want to be by your side." Danny couldn't help but smile at that. "I want to be next to you for a long time to come, too," he replied. "Oh yeah? I thought you didn't think about the future Danny? What makes you so sure?" she teased. "Because I know one thing for sure.. I never want to lose you," Danny replied cooly, smirking. Lindsay bit her bottom lip and smiled up at him. She was glad she had him to call hers. "You'll never lose me Danny." she ensured him.
