Stella sauntered through the lab, asking directions to the supervisor's office from a few random workers walking past her. She eventually found the place and took a small breath before knocking lightly on the door. She had been keeping her eyes open for any sign of her sister - a little harder then it would have usually been, seeing as Stella hadn't seen Sara since the older woman was 18 and had left home. At that time, Stella had been 10 so the only thing she was going off was a picture her parents had from a couple years ago. "Mr. Grissom? I'm Stella...." She thought it best not to say her surname - she didn't want to instantly be compared to her stunningly-intelligent, workaholic older sister, when she was in fact pretty much a complete opposite. She hadn't put "Stella Sidle" on the application form for this job - having thought ahead to them recognizing that oh-so familiar name, so she'd put "Stella Eldis" - she'd been quite pleased with herself, having the smart idea of spelling "Sidle" backward. "I was told to report here for my first day."

Sara walked into Grissom's office, finding a stunningly beautiful girl in his office. She rolled her eyes. Now she had to deal with this girl that was probably so stupid that she didn't know how to put gloves on the right way. "I have that case file you asked for Grissom." she said, not minding the younger girl for now, although, she did look fermilair, she just couldn't put her finger on it.

Stella kept her eyes anywhere but on Sara. She knew it was her sister - the older woman hadn't changed at all. Okay, maybe she'd blossomed a little and she wasn't so rough-around-the-edges, but she was still so obviously the Sara Sidle from all those years ago. When Sara was about to leave, Stella was nearly going to breathe a sigh of relief. So as she stopped, the breath caught in her throat. The way the brunette was looking at her made her aware that Sara found her familiar. Damnit....keep it cool Stell, keep it cool. If she asks your name, you're screwed. She thought, crossing her fingers behind her back. Then Grissom spoke up and Stella's heart sank. "Sara, this is Stella, our new addition - I'd like you to show her the ropes and help her out." Stella didn't even dare look at Sara now. She could tell by the sudden atmosphere in the room that Sara knew who she was. Would she say anything about it?

Sara closed her eyes and silently sighed when Grissom told her that she had to show Stella around. She looked at Grissom with a death stare, almost saying that she was going to kill him for this, but she kept her mouth shut. She turned to the girl, finding that she was being really shy. Great, another girl that's going to come in her and say not a word to anyone, she won't last here for a day. she thought. Sara was never one to make introductions. The first impression never meant a thing to her because she knew that people were never as they seemed. This girl looked amazingly like her little sister, but she didn't know if she could say that yet. She looked over at the girl and didn't give her so much as a smile. "Come on I'll show you around." Sara said, giving one last death glare to Grissom before turning to leave.

Greg was in DNA lab with Wendy when he saw the girl of his dream crossing the hallway. He followed them with his eyes for a moment, wondering who was the blond girl next to Sara.
He turned back to Wendy, "Excuse me..." and quickly exited the lab to run after the two girls.
"Sara!" He caught up with her, "I've got the result... it's a match."
His eyes darted to the beautiful blond girl standing beside her.

Stella couldn't quite believe her luck. She doesn't recognize me! She hasn't even picked up on what my name is! So much for being a freaking valedictorian!! She thought with a small smile as she followed Sara. They hadn't got very far when she they both had to stop suddenly as an enthusiastic Greg bolted over to them. Stella smiled politely, noticing the guy's eyes lingering on her for a moment. When Sara didn't bother introducing them, Stella took it upon herself. She had always had far more social skills then her older sister, although her parents just pushed that aside and it was always "oh look how wonderful Sara is" or "Sara's such a clever girl - why can't you be more like her, Stella?" Even though she hadn't let on, all those comments had actually hurt her. Part of the reason was that Sara wasn't even their biological child and yet they treated her like royalty. As she'd gotten older, Stella had realized that maybe they had always put her on a pedestal because of what her home-life had been like before she'd been put in foster care. She knew ll about what had happened and why Sara had been in the system, and yes she felt sorry for her - it was part of her nature to feel sorry for her, compassion being one of Stella's big personality points. But that didn't stop the jealousy she'd harbored when they were kids. Pushing that aside, she decided to concentrate on the present, not the past. "I'm Stella, I'm new here." She smiled warmly, extending her perfectly-manicured hand. Looking at Sara and then back to the guy, he just stood there staring at her.

Greg didn't realize he was staring until the girl introduced herself as Stella. He quickly shook her hand. "Hi, I'm Greg. CSI Level One." Actually he was waiting for Sara to introduce them to each other, but as he glanced at her, he guessed she wouldn't... She even looked... almost upset. It was weird. But the girl had flashed him a beautiful smile. He had also noticed that she had a wavy beautiful blond hair that framed her features perfectly. She seemed like a confident girl. And Greg happens to find confidence is sexy...
He smiled politely, "I saw you earlier in front of Grissom's office.... " He guessed Sara must be showing her around... He had to do that a few times when he moved to the field and he had to find a replacement for the DNA lab. Looking at her, he wondered if she would last... He had gone through with his replacements couldn't cope with the tough job at the lab. Who knows this girl also wouldn't last very long?
He didn't know why secretly he wanted her to last longer than a day...
Greg glanced at Sara. "So, Sara is showing you around?" Weird enough Sara was giving him a death glare. Greg took the hint. "Well I hope you enjoy working here.... I need to... uh, do something." He looked at Sara, "I'll page you the result." Then slowly backed away and flashing Stella one last charming smile, "See you around, Stella..."

Stella smiled and waved as Greg backed away. She could sense the "back off" vibes Sara was giving out and she wondered if her older sister was always like this. "He seems nice. Kinda cute too." Stella commented, trying to strike up a conversation, as they walked through the lab. She was interested in seeing what her oh-so amazing sister - as her parents had made out - did all day, and if there were any boyfriends or whatever on the scene. From the outset, it looked as if Sara was pretty much married to her job and had no time for relationships, but Stella knew that look could be deceiving. Or maybe not.

Sara just wanted to pull out a gun and chase Greg away as soon as he had laid eyes on them. Unfortunatly, that could get her fired. So instead, she just sat there, shotting Greg a nasty glare. This girl wasn't even here for an hour and she was already pissing her off. It reminded her of how she used to be jealous of her sister. She was always so pretty, and always getting the looks from the guys. She thought back to all the boyfriends her sister had, and wished she could be just as pretty as her. Sara decided to try something. It wasn't something that Sara would usually do, but after all her years of talking to victims, and susupects and witnesses, she knew that the only thing that did not lie was evidence, and DNA was her evidence for now.
When Stella talked, Sara didn't even hear it. She just said "uh huh" and then dragged her into the DNA lab. "This is the DNA lab," she said, shooting Greg a glare that told him not to say or do anything stupid. She grabbed a swab and took Stella's DNA. "Every employee has to be entered in the database." she explained. She walked over to Greg, leaving Stella behind her.
"Here Greg, database." she said, waiting for him to nod at her. She leaned down and whispered into his ear, "Run this against Laura Sidle please." she told him. She knew he was going to ask why, and she needed to shut him up before he said anything. "Just don't ask, and don't tell anyone about the results but me, or I'll make sure that you are placed back into DNA perminatly." she threatened as she walked back over to Stella, who Greg was still eyeing. Her chances with Greg were pretty much shot now.
It had always been this constant battle between her and Greg. Did he like her? Did he like her as only a friend, and nothing more? Did he totally hate her? She never knew, but all she knew was that for the last five years, Sara had this strong attraction to Greg. Now that this girl was threatening it, she was giong to be really pissy for the next few days, because that's just who Sara was. And she wasn't going to be normal pissy like she usually was when she worked three days straight, she was going to be intolerable.
