Addison shook her head in reply to his question. She knew she wanted to spend the day at the hospital, making sure Sara was still there and still alive, but at the same time, she knew she could do with getting her mind off all that stuff by being at school. She was torn.
"I just want mommy here. I miss her and I miss Abbey."
She said quietly, sounding very much like a little girl, as she was.

"I know," Grissom sighed, gently running his fingers through Addison's hair. "I want her here, too," he whispered, blinking, as he continued to stare at the far wall. He was absolutely exaughsted, as was Addie, he knew, but he just couldn't force himself to sleep. "And I miss Abbey, too. It's hard to believe that bad things can happen to us, and when they do..." he trailed off. "It's just difficult to deal with. But Sara is okay, and I'm okay, and neither of us are going anywhere," he tried to assure his daughter. "We both love you too much for that," he added, trying to keep his emotions in check, for her sake.
